为了方便更多用Aegisub做特效字幕，尤其是想深入学习Lua语言去制作高度自定义的特效字幕的朋友们，一定要牢牢抓住手册，因为用Aegisub做的各种ASS特效字幕，不管多么复杂，其用于控制ASS特效标签、绘图代码、图片等事物的呈现方式的lua相关代码（Aegisub内的自定义语法后面另说）都是由这些手册中最基础的代码按照一定的逻辑编写出来的。
这些基础代码的语法学好了以后存下来并分类整理保存，以后就算上年纪了，要将各个部分快速拼接起来也会容易得多。

贴这几个英文链接主要是方便学习lua语言的人快速对比各版本之间的一些语法变化，这样一来要考虑并解决各版本、各平台之间的兼容性问题也会方便得多，看不懂的话可以直接用谷歌机翻（https://translate.google.cn/），这样一来在没有中文翻译的情况下要啃英文手册就容易得多了。

图文教程、视频教程的各个关键字也可以交叉搜索，加快自己大脑的思维对接速度，学Aegisub的ass字幕模板制作的新人在Lua手册上的Lua Function（Lua 函数）这块建议优先学math、string、table这三个库（直接在B站搜Aegisub string、Aegisub math、Aegisub table就可以搜到相关视频教程，Lua基本语法那些同理，比如搜Aegisub if、Aegisub for等。）的内容，这部分的实用程度比较高，初期学进步也比较快，有利于快速把信心树立起来，这是坚持长期学下去的第一步！

此手册不会涉及Lua语言本身与Lua附带的标准库，而只会介绍Aegisub Automation 4附加的功能和数据结构。请参阅Lua 5.1 手册来了解语言本身和它的标准库。

The Automation 4 Lua scripting engine is based on the version 5.1 series of the Lua scripting language.
This manual will not deal with the Lua language itself nor the standard libraries shipping with Lua, but only the additional functions and data structures provided by the Aegisub Automation 4 Lua interface. Please see the Lua 5.1 manual for details on the language itself and its standard libraries.
